Another way to get a feeler is to send a message about how you like her gold, vintage wedding rings, anniversary bands or her dress and in case of guys how you like his new sports gear etc. If he or she responds favorably to your appreciation, it can be inferred as openness towards the relationship.  If not responded favorably, one should be take the clue and stop public display of feelings. It is likely that he or she may want to continue the relationship more secretly for some more time before exposing it to the world.

Once you are sure that he or she is comfortable discussing your relationship in public, you should try to find your lovers interest.
